My Story

After my Honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1969, I became Personnel Manager at Elston Richard Storage Company, a Real Estate agent for Frank B Young, and an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life. I attended Wittenberg University for 4 years and became a broker for my own real estate and insurance companies.  After 24 years in Real Estate and 18 years in Insurance I went into semi-retirement to concentrate on a new career as Talent Manager and Agent. In 1989 I started Access Entertainment Group first as a booking agent and a talent manager, later as an owner of a record label (Spotlight Records) and publisher (BMI) (ASCAP). I have successfully managed several artists and their careers over the last 35 years.  I booked the talent for the Martin Janis Senior Center at the Ohio State Fair for 4 years.  I have had a wonderful life and thank God just about every day.  More on my life can be found in my new autobiography available at Barnes and Noble titled How Hollywood Got Sex and Life All Wrong.

My Mission

After 35 years teaching the business of music and guiding the careers of many including subjects on artist development, marketing, promotion, production, and resources. I'm looking forward to working with anyone interested in the music business paving a path to a successful career. I have developed a ebook series called Music Business that will be published worldwide.  I have also written a book called How Hollywood Got Sex and Life All Wrong about

my life experiences, the people I have met, and the places I have visited.  I have included my ancestry based on my research thanks in part to my parent’s memory of those facts and information that I was able to collect from the internet and family.  Being an autobiography after an introduction of my folks it all starts with my birth and continues to present-day recollections, all factual and true. Parts of this book included real stories that were inserted chronologically which I felt made this a fun and interesting read. I also included some historical and cultural events.  I took the liberty of telling some of these stories using slang, maybe technical and natural to get the point across to the reader.  I hope some of the words do not come across as descriptive or insulting.  I tried to keep it real!!!  I have a lot to be thankful for and God made it all possible.  Hope you enjoy it!!!  My book can be purchased at Barnes and Noble or ordered from this site.

Sincerely,

James Paul Bruce
